Clinical Pharmacist Specialists
Clinical Pharmacist Specialists work directly with physicians and other healthcare providers to provide pharmaceutical care. Specialists are also involved with research projects and education of patients, pharmacists, pharmacy students/interns, and other healthcare providers.
Pharmacists
Pharmacists work in a variety of settings within the Detroit Medical Center. Pharmacists are found in most clinical areas, ambulatory clinics, and centralized operations. Rotation of pharmacists allows for a wide exposure to the different aspects of pharmaceutical care.
Pharmacy Technicians
Our Pharmacy Technicians play a fundamental role in operations to free up pharmacists to provide pharmaceutical care. The use of technologies at the DMC such as robotics, Pyxis®, automated filling equipment, and the MSMeds® pharmacy information system help our operations staff. Additionally, there are unique technician positions in areas such as investigational drugs and patient focused care.
