The Detroit Medical Center Pharmacy Practice Residency at Sinai-Grace Hospital is committed to providing the highest quality postgraduate training in contemporary hospital pharmacy practice. The program is designed to meet the resident's individual needs and assist them in attaining their personal and professional goals.
The Pharmacy PGY-I Residency program has been training residents from a variety of schools since 1979. Each year the department accepts two new residents to the program. The program features:
- Training at a 400 bed, acute-care hospital that is a medical teaching facility and Level 2 Trauma Center
- Nine highly trained clinical specialists as preceptors
- A variety of clinical and administrative rotations
- The ability to subspecialize by choosing to use two to three of your elective rotations in a particular area
- Precepting opportunities
ASHP Accredited The residency will be conducted in accordance with the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accreditation standard for Pharmacy Practice Residency Training.
