Manager, Pharmacy Services
Sinai-Grace is a 400+ bed general medicine institution in a community setting. We are an integral member of the Detroit Medical Center and teaching sites for Wayne State University and Michigan State University Schools of Medicine. Not only are we Northwest Detroit’s only major trauma center but more than 1,500 physicians provide expertise in 50 medical specialties including internal medicine, surgery, obstetric/gynecology, adult and neonatal intensive care, emergency medicine, oncology/hematology, nephrology, endocrinology, geriatrics, pulmonary medicine, cardiology, and outpatient services. The hospital has an integrated electronic medical record with full prescriber order entry.
Together with other members of the management team the Manager is responsible for the successful operation of our professional/clinical programs. Clinical pharmacists are decentralized throughout the hospital. Responsibillities include providing formal consult services in pharmacokinetic and anticoagulation dosing, criteria drug monitoring, attendance at code blues and more. This individual will focus on day to day management of the professional staff including oversight of their education, training and competency. In addition, the manager will participate in regulatory and quality initiatives, performance improvement and development of of new programs. The ideal candidate for this position will have a State of Michigan license and 2-3 years hospital pharmacy management experience. Pharm.D. with residency experience preferred.
